To Place an Order
Order policy for 2010 and beyond:
I require a $500 non-refundable deposit at the time the order is placed. This locks in your price and locks in your place in the schedule. The deposit price is for purchase of a spot on the build list, and the time devoted to design and administration, and is non-refundable. (See Right of Refusal below)
In some instances I will require substantially more for a deposit. Some woods, such as Brazilian rosewood, special African blackwood, or any other wood that is one of a kind, will require an up front deposit. It usually works out to something like 20% of the full purchase price of the guitar.
When construction of the guitar begins, I require an addition $2,000. A client may postpone for up to one year, but beyond that, the original price cannot be guaranteed.
The next requirement will be at the time the finish work begins. At that point I will accept one half of the balance due to continue the process.
To Receive Your Guitar: I will accept final payment in full by check or cash before shipping.
Right of Refusal: If the guitar you ordered is not satisfactory, you have 48 hours in which to contact me and to return it for refund. Don't worry, I know the post office is sometimes closed. Upon receipt of the guitar in the same condition it left my shop, the purchase price will be credited to you and will be refunded in full upon sale to another customer. As with all rules, this one does have some exceptions: Special orders (inlay, unusual combinations, odd neck shapes) will be refunded only after repair or alteration to make it saleable to another customer. After completion of the sale, your money will be refunded less the price of the repair or alteration and less the $500 upfront fee.
