The Wingert Signature Series - Elite - All Wingert guitars are "signature" guitars in that they have my signature, are built to my highest standards, and are always individually voiced. These very special guitars are offered in limited run series. Currently available are The Black Pearl, which is available exclusively through Kathy Wingert; and some special spiderwebbed reclamation wood, also available only through Kathy, and the Dream Series, available through Dream Guitars. Model E Grand Concert - A versatile, well-balanced guitar which truly performs with outstanding responsiveness, clarity, and tone as a fingerstyle guitar. Despite its Grand Concert size, it can hold up quite well to a flat pick. Also available as a 12 fret model. Model F Grand Auditorium - This is the big one. This, too, is a versatile, well-balanced guitar that will take on dynamic playing with your fingers or a flat pick. Powerful. Model CM Concert Muse - A familiar smaller body guitar, well balanced for fingerstyle playing. Players call them responsive and enjoy the dynamic range and nuance. Parlor Guitar - Open, airy, bright sounding with good separation of tone. The Parlor is ideal for comfort, for travel, for recording, and for purity and sweetness of tone. Model D Grand Festival - Available in the 14 fret model and a vintage-style sloped-shoulder 12 fret model. Baritone F -My Baritone F was designed with clarity and articulation in mind. The F size is ideally suited for the deep growl, and delightfully alluring musical expression just pours out of this guitar. Harp Guitar The Wingert Harp Guitar is completed and pictures will follow soon. The body of the harp guitar is based on my Model E though slightly expanded to accommodate six sub-bass strings, a slightly asymmetrical waist to (marginally) help with the balance point of the instrument, and bracing that allowed me to voice the harp guitar with my tonal preferences intact. I started building ukuleles out of deep love for the Slack Key guitar my friend Fran Guidry plays. CBOM (cittern/bouzouki/octave mandolin) is an instrument that holds a lot of fascination for me. I love the shape, the sound, and playing in fifths. Mandolins and carved topped instruments are on my long list of things I mean to do. Having apprenticed with a violin maker, it seems a shame to let the acquired voicing understanding go to waste! Side By Side Comparison |
